de activate control - a way to sync the volume manually

de activate control - a way to sync the volume manually

Problem
When i play around with FADER FX my volume sliders are usually left out of sync with the the actual volume level. And when i try to slide it back, even if really fast, it always sounds bad..

Possible solution
By pressing the shift button i could move the volume sliders without out sending the midi commands to change it. Thus i could manually change them to set the according to what i’m seeing on the screen?

Comments? any other ideas? is there already a fix for this?

Does the mapping not have soft takeover enabled ?

yes but i would like to be able to do this manually

thats what I mean.
With soft take over, the knob or slider does not move until the physical midi control is at the same position as the on screen one. This avoids ‘jumps’ when the two are out of sync.

ahhaaaa
thats great.. how do i activate it? because atm it’s not doing that

Unfortunately its not a global on/off thing. In the midi mapping you have to find every mapped command that you need to fix, and add a tick to the ‘soft takeover’ checkbox. Depending on the mapping, that might take some time.

However, check first to see if its already on, as I have heard some people talk about a soft takeover bug with tracktor.
