Right, stage 1 of my master plan. I have a korg nanoKontrol 2, i want to use the cycle button as a deck selector button. So it will switch between the two decks and i can then use the buttons below for cue, cup, play, sync, pitch bend what ever I fancy really. But I am having some trouble, any pointers? Youtube vids? etc.
Yes… or when i hold it down it lets me use the stop, play and record buttons on the nanokontrol 2 on say deck b, but released it lets me control deck a.
found it now, but it goes through all 4 decks. maybe ill keep it like that and set up some mappings for sample decks in the future.
Well for setting one button to do that you’ll be needing to make one toggling modifier (anyway) that can tell which of decks is covered by focus selector. It would be probably the best to use modifier values to determine which of decks are you talking to instead of changing focus between decks.
thank you, ill have a play around and see what i fancy using. At the moment i have just deck focus and it cycles through the decks, and i can have the buttons on the left of my nanokontrol doing some loops settings, play etc. And thats all set up using assignment: device target.
Maybe if i ever get round to buying an s2, i can set up the nanokontrol to control the sample decks, and i can use your mapping and use it for deck c and d
