I will spearhead the next deep house mixtrain. For those of you new to the party a mixtrain is where we get four of us together and we each play for thirty minutes and then pass the mix on to the next person in the train. I want the flavor to be house of the deep funky nature. Please sign up. Thanks!

we can decide on the order in which we go once i get everyone on board. We will be using dropbox to pass the files back and forth.
I see you guys already have four people, but just wondering for next time, how does this work logistically? Is this streamed? Or do you guys record your mix, and then send that file to for next guy to mix out of, then he would merge those two files? Then the next guy would merge that hour mix into his 30 mins, etc.?
If everyone is using Traktor it could be something along the lines of:
Number one(Keith Ace) records and mixes his part, passes his part to number two (Kooper) through dropbox.
Kooper plays mix in Traktor, at the end he starts recording and mixing in his part and puts it to number three, DISaS73R.
Rinse and repeat till I get my part and I destroy the recording all together.
Not to hijack this post, but as the initial group is already filled up, would anyone be interested in a “Group B” mix train? Keeping the deep house style, of course. If so, we can start a separate thread.
And woah, a thought just occurred to me while I was typing this out: a mix tournament! Teams of two DJs; bracket-style; teams get one hour to mix (or maybe less…?); and you can’t vote for your own mix, of course. I dunno haha.
So would it be up to the last person to merge all four mixes together? Just because I know Traktor has a file size limit, so I would imagine there is some post-work needing to be done to make the final, two-hour mix. Is that right? I guess there are a number of ways to go about this, just wondering if there’s some established method people have been following.
