Design your own controller!

I love the idea of letting your customers design their gear!

that looks pretty damn cool.. It will be much better when they get the drum pads, wonder what the price will be?

$1050. We’ve got the full story.

$1050
$1050
$1050

I’m out

i mean, i’m in.. but i’m out.

Anyone remember the guy that made a create-your-own controller as a project for his design university and posted here on DJTT? Where’s he gone?

i was in LOVE!!! then i heard the price…oh…

BTW, this is what i would do

heres mine, simple. 2 jogs, 2 sets of eq, 2 faders, filters on top, track encoders in the top corners, and play pause

Thanks for the price DJWorx!

This looks like a quality custom unit, and the price reflects it. Considering the CNC machine time for the top plate, custom annodizing, etc. etc. it’s close to what I assumed it would be. Hopefully they will sell a lot and bring down the price some.

If it has to be expensive and control the full traktor setup…

If it was built well, and it looks to be that with with the all AL construction, I would honestly pay that for a completely custom controller.

I love it and I have to have one.

Edit: damn, forgot to add FX knobs.

That means you need a 2nd one Karl XD

I would go for this one

Two channel mixer, 3-band EQ, gains, filters, four encoders for multiple functions, two monitor buttons and five performance buttons on each side. The amber button would be shift that while held down can turn other four buttons buttons in to bank selectors (basic transport, hotcue, and two banks of effects). Encoders would also follow the modifier value.

while the idea is awesome, I just think the price is a bit too high for me considering how Traktor is always changing. I would guess in a year I would be pissed off because I would need to change something about it based off of NI making some addition or change to Traktor. I change my setup around every year or so, and the ability to just sell my gear and pick something new up fairly cheap from NI or elsewhere just make this thing a bit too much in my book.

Exactly.

Thank God I mix using Live…
