Diffrence between Behringer DDM4000 Mixer and Pioneer Djm-T1 mixer?
Apart from the price difference what would be a main difference on buying one compared to the other?
Which one should I buy for use with turntables and DVS
DJM T1 for DVS as it has a Traktor Scratch sound card built in. DDM4000 if you desperately need 4 channels and have no money - but you still need to buy a sound card too.
My friends had some bad experience with Behringer mixers. They are usually loaded with features for very cheap but they’re not built that strong (but again, that is my friends personal experiences). Just be aware that when you buy a more expensive product, you usually get better quality. My friend had a full glass of Grand Marnier spilled on his DJM-900NX and after a good cleanup, it is as new as before. Not sure if a Behringer mixer would survive that.

I’ll stick up for the DDM4000. I had one for about 3 years and used it with Vinyl, Ableton and DVS with Traktor Scratch 1 and 2… I loved it. For it’s price you get two effects units, two samplers, customisable EQ, customisable channel and crossfader curves, full kills (with customisable multikills), full MIDI control, two mic inputs, two outputs (and an additional record output) and 4 channels. I had an Infinium X1 crossfader in mine and it even made a passable scratch mixer.
Well worth the money.

I didn’t even get an innofader (I just did the credit card mod) and the original fader is great for scratching.
If when I get a better laptop I decide I want to use all the four decks in Traktor, could I do this?
Would I need an Audio 10? and can all 4 channels (from the mixer) be used to play 4 different songs through Traktor?
Yes. And yes.
You need an Audio 10 to use 3 or 4 timecode vinyl decks in Traktor. The Audio 8 has 4 stereo outputs for 4 decks, but only has 2 phono preamps.
I have an Audio 8 and it does 4 decks just fine. Be aware that you can only use 2 decks with vinyl timecode. The other two have to be CD timecode or you can just use all 4 with CD’s. This isn’t a limitation of the DDM4000, it’s the Native Instruments sound cards (Audio 6/8/10).
What I used to do is have Decks A and B with vinyl DVS and C and D controlled by MIDI. However, now I’ve got a DVS mixer (Denon X-1600) and some swanky CDJ2000 Nexus’ , I use all 4 decks with Vinyl and CD control.
EDIT: I didn’t know that the preamps were the limiting factor in the sound cards! Everyday is a school day!
Think ill go for the behringer and save my money up to buy a decent laptop so I can get a Audio 8

I got mine from Chemical Records. £340 seems to be the going rate and Chemical’s delivery times are probably the quickest I’ve seen from an online retailer.
And +1 on saving up for a decent laptop. I lose count the amount of people who come to me complaining that they’re shiny new kit doesn’t work only for me to find they’re running it on a 4 year old netbook!

Ill stick with mixing vinyl until I can afford a good powerful laptop. Always best to look forward to something instead of buying kit all at once 
You can get a used Macbook for around £350 that will easily handle everything in Traktor.
