dj/producer furniture?

i have some new stuff coming in and i think it may be time for a proper/better looking/more spacious desk. a while back, Xonetacular posted his desk that he made, but i’m no where near his level of handiness lol.

are there any desks that can accommodate dj gear and some production gear (mixer, keyboards, monitors)? right now, i’m using a white picnic table that i got for $25 =D

found these online, but a bit pricey for me…

any cheap ikea ideas or cheap pre made ones =D?

I have the IKEA “jerker” table, unfortunaly its no longer in the catalog and they have an new model called fredrik that is almost the same, Products - IKEA

if u can find a “jerker” I think its better cuz it has small movable shelves that u can put monitors on:

check out the tables by studio RTA at guitar center/musicians friend, I’m a fan of this one myself, and for $199, i can’t complain, i just need to suck it up and buy it.

I think a lot of people, especially on djforums use an Ikea Expedit bookcase, turned on its side. Apparently its the perfect height and is about $100 I think.

Yeah my friend has its for his CDJ setup. Its perfect.

My buddy is a carpenter and hes gonna make me a huge workstation.

My friend has the exact same station (without the monitor stands) from the same eBay guy.
Its very nice indeed.

I need something split level so i can stand at my decks and sit and my Maschine and keys.
My mate has built a lot of DJ booths for clubs so its just the cost of the wood etc, hes gonna make it for free.

Karlos that desk is exaclty that if you look at my sig picture you stand at the perfect level to use the TT’s and when sitting it’s the same as being at a desk using keyboard and laptop, that’s how i use the desk.. will try and take a front view picture and you can see what i mean.

Did you paint this up yourself or did it come finished?

it’s flatpacked, very easy to put together as well, the advantages are if you build it yourself you can give it a finish, I myself didn’t bother to wax or varnish it but it would probably be an idea if you have the time.
