do these tables have a name?
i would like a table like this when i collect too many vinyls one day, this would be a great setup to have to put the equipment and the vinyls under
a shelf 
and definitely good for holding all your djing goodies and your gear 
edit: ikea has pretty good tables for djing if your looking to buy one
The IKEA Lack shelves are wehat you’re after (OK they’re not the ones in the picture, but they’re near as dammit)
If you check out instructables.com there’s a few ways to mod them to make them even more useful to DJs …
If you lived anywhere near Ireland I could have thrown something like that together in about an hour.
I have an Expedit shelf and Vika Amon table top sitting on top of it. That puts the top of my Turntables just below my belly button and gives me more room on top than just the shelf.

You want it 6 inches below the top of your head? The instructable link I posted talks about using one of the iKea TV stands and putting it on top of the shelf.

I think I’m going to go with four of these brackets though and do some lighting underneath. I’ve got lots of rope light that would look cool under there.

when i go to the product page, it says width 16" is it 16" per box, so x2 would be 32" and if so, 32" from floor would be floor to waist ? according to my measurements which sounds like bending over where i dont want to bend back at all
I think that original picture is from the original Expedit shelving system is it not? I have the modern Expedit and it is everything you need and fully custom to what you want. All you need is imagination and a bank balance! lol.
My expedit shelf is 31" from the floor. That Lack tabletop I linked to is 1 1/2" so it’s in total 32 1/2". The top of the turntables are 38" off the ground and even with my belly button. Another inch would be nice, but it’s not bad as it is and I don’t bend over at all. For reference I’m 5’ 7".
What equipment are you using?
dont have equipment ATM except for a new djm350 which i have tested on arrival and works. but down the road im going with technics 1200mk2 / vinyls only.
not buying the table anytime soon but thought it was interesting and remembered you posted a pic of something similar to it, just to bad its short.
It’s not that short, once you take the height of the TT’s into account.
it looks like the highest height i can find is 36" which is the table i got by lifetime. 6 foot long. only thing i dislike about it that it will take space but it is what it is. then w/ the mixer n players like you said, it raises about 4 inches and if i want it taller then i would just have to get something to boost it up or something. damn.
if its too short, im pretty sure IKEA sell some metal legs that are about 2.5"-3" tall which you could attach to the bottom of the expedit, if IKEA dont home depot or similar probably do.
