DJ Tim Bates’ Booth!

A lot changed since I started 22 years ago :open_mouth:…

This is my set nowadays:

  • 2X Pioneer CDJ 900
  • Pioneer DJM 850 (White Edition) Mixer
  • 2X KRK RP6 Speakers (on special stands)
  • 2x Kontrol (Native Instruments) X1 MK1
  • MacBook Pro
    And a lot of Prodector stuff to be sure my stuff won’t turn into dust :stuck_out_tongue:.

(I won’t list all the stuff you don’t see and I usually don’t use, but I have to mention my 2 Numark CDX which I’ll add to my setup again once I’ve update my Traktor to the Scratch version. I’m a sucker for the vinyl feeling..)

Diggin it man. The roommate and I were just talking about how we want to upgrade to a set of 900’s.

If deck savers weren’t so stupid expensive, I’d buy them too to stop my equipment from getting covered in dust.

Yeah I know:slight_smile:, I prefer using CDJ’s with an USB stick, but since I’ve the Kontrol’s I sometimes like to play a 4 deck set and of course my MacBook is needed. Probably the stand above my mixer will follow asap.

Thanks and I advise to use those covers, I’ve killed so many mixers because of dust in the past 15 years, and other devices don’t become more beautiful with dust, so invest in stuff like this as well (and towels don’t really work, besides they don’t protect my gear against cats climbing up my stuff :wink:
