Playing some clubs in NYC soon. Gansevoort, Darby, Pink Elephant.
I wanna use my S4. My baby.
Setup through the DJM.. normally 900.

If you just want to route your S4 Through the DJM,
Just connect from RCA out from your S4 into one of line level channels of the S4 (Not the Phono). Then check your volume on the S4 and gain-stage to make sure you’re not clipping. Should be sweet to go.

Serious question though, if there’s a DJM-900 why would you ever want to use an S4 instead?
As for your question. RCA from S4 to any channel on the DJM-900 and raise the volume on that channel.
If you have suitable drivers you could just connect the DJM900 via USB and use the interface in there. It’d save you converting D → A → D though it’d be a little more complicated. And someone might wanna use that connect after you which could make changeover a bit tricky.
Plug output of S4 into any empty input on DJM. Bring fader up.

Might be handy to add a little more detail, following instructions that simple could lead to problems.
To be honest, if you can’t hook something this simple up I’d be wary about trying to play a gig using the S4…
Why would a controller DJ know the difference between phono and line?
Lots of people DJ and have no clue what the gain knob is for too.
Well if your going to bring a controller to a club that has an existing setup, you should know the basics of hooking it up..
In fact any DJ playing out should at least know the basics of what Phono is, line is…
only works with a rca cable of this quality or higher.

Using the S4 as a controller only. If I was dependant on the S4, I would at least do that. Use the 900’s soundcard and you have a way better sounding mixer than the S4, not to mention more FX and filters and I almost cant live without the Gate/Comp now.
I think I’d use the jogs on the S4 but use the DJM instead of the internal mixer tbh.
