DJTT Chroma knobs question: What does “bottom out” mean?

Sup guys. Just bought a new VCI-300mkII. Coming from a Xone DX, my only gripe with the VCI are the small knobs. Chroma knobs for the save?

Just wondering what “bottom out” means according to the Chroma knobs chart. I did read the “chroma knobs fitting guide” discussion thread. Still a lil confused as to what it means though

Thank you!

Most likely mean that the buttons will sit totally flush or rub on the deck. If you look at your controller’s buttons there should be a bit of space between the knob and the deck 32th or 64th of an inch most likely, which allows the movement of the knobs without rubbing, marking, or wearing out the deck.

Ahh I see. Thanks Chefmix!

So how would one go about “fixing” this? One forum member said he stuck pieces of cardboard inside the knob…

Yeah if you fold up a smaller piece of paper and drop that inside the knob before pushing it on it will prevent the knob from reaching the surface of the controller

Ditto. THought about the solution on my way to la la zzzzz land lol.
