Hey I am looking on ebay for a new pair of headphones, I’m primarily looking for hdj 1000’s and there is a lot available that just seems way too low to be true. Has anyone on here bought a pair off of ebay? Also how would I be able to tell if they are fakes?
Why HDJ1000’s? Far more better headphones, plus they are notorious for falling apart. If you do decide to get a pair, look for a reputable dealer who’s certified and hopefully in your country as well.
What?!? $150? You can get them new for $130-$140! I wouldn’t pay anymore than $80 for them now a days, such a sub standard pair of headphones compared to everything else that’s out there today
You can get much better headphones for around $150 and HDJ-1000s are not worth $150. If you like over-ear then Xone: XD-53s are around that price new and are way more durable and sound a lot better although the XD2-53s are coming out soon and have a replaceable cord.
When you say you snap the connectors you mean the audio cable connector? get something with a replaceable cord.
HDJ 1000 are known being fragile, sure there are people who have rocked them for years but it’s a point worth considering. Personally I would buy RPDJ-1200 in the $120 price range. I tried the XD-53s a few years back but ended up picking the Technics I just mentioned.
I’m thinking I should just shell out the cash for hdj 2000’s. I really didn’t want to go into the 200 + range though. I was looking at v-moda’s too because of the flexible ear but I just don’t wana shell out that cash without a decent test run
Hdj 1500. or just get the sennies hd-25 and get done with it xD
My old hdj 1000 haven’t snapped in 8 years, by the way. I was aware of the breaking point from the beginning, careful like always, and they still work. They are not far from their successors. They sound very good (for djing).
I love my HDJ2ks but the cable lock systen they chose is the weak link in the chain. Why didn’t they go with a screwable 1/8 plug like the rest of the industry is beyond me.
For the record, my cable works fine but the lock is busted.
