I was thinking the same when I saw the MBP13" didn’t get the i3 upgrade but it’s still plenty fast enough 'til that happens.
I’ve got a new for old insurance policy just in case something should happen too 
I rock out on my MB 13"…not a pro.
2.4 Dual Core…2GB RAM…never had an issue.

Ha ha I’ve got a bag very similair to that one! Its also made by Targus, and also holds my 17" plus my headphones, cables mixcd’s, external HD, charger, etc. Ita a killer bag, but it gets damn heavy to carry around after a while!

13" screen is just big enough…
I was tinkering around with something and wanted to try it out without disrupting my current setup on my Macbook Pro 15" (late 2007 version). So I installer Traktor Pro on my Macbook Air which has a screen comparable to the 13.3" screens on the newer Macbook Pro (unibody) machines and Macbooks.
Traktor showed up just fine. The only issue was that the tune selector interface showed up kinda small.
I don’t think it was a huge problem though. I certainly could play a gig with it that way… Didn’t really get a chance to RUN Traktor on the MB Air other than to play the two demo tracks but they played over the wimpy built-in audio just fine.

I am about to scream if I hear that a mbp with a Intel Core 2 Duo processor is not fast enough!
I have several mac in my house and I am able to run tsp, maschine and ableton with no problems.
dont make me start slapping babies now!
i ran traktor pro on a 4 year old lenovo with a celeron m single core processor with no performance problems. u must be crazy to think that a core 2 duo is not powerful enough
13 inch works fine for me, I’ve ran Serato/Itch/traktor on it with no problems!

Lol, the only reason why I ask is cos my Hp is running on Core 2 Duo, and I’ve had issues sometimes with its stability. If with MBP its a different story then its all good!
its not so much the processor than the fact that the components of PCs come from many different manufactures.
Apple makes almost all the parts for their computers, thus making them more stuable
Ahhhh so cos of that PC’s are more unstable? Hmm ok.. yeah i noticed the other day that my Hp has Toshiba processors, and its memory comes from Samsung. It makes sense that Apple would have more stable computers then.

I’ve never had a problem with my 13" Macbook.
Never failed or crashed during any gigs I’ve had (4+ hours) or in any practice sessions at all. But during gigs I only run Traktor with my external HD plugged in. No other programs.
Don’t check ur e-mail during a set!
OK the processor seems to handle it! But how about the screen resolution?
Is it posible to see 4 decks (expanded) and filter section at the same time.
(no xfader since i mix externaly and no browsing since you can switch to browsewindow)

Thanks JesC I currently have a Lenovo 15.4" with 1900x1200 so I am spoiled with resolution. But its big, heavy and have some memory issues… Never let me down yet, but its a bit scary… Besides I would like to have a Mac
Well guys after much thought I’ve decided on which Macbook I’m gonna get. I’m going to get the 15", the reason being although I know that 13" is stable and great for Traktor, the 15" offers more screen retail space which will really benefit me in the long run, as I wont be only using my Mac for Djing. So thank you guys for all your suggestions and feedback, you all helped me alot!
