Get an S4 or wait for Twitch?
Dilemma!
Looking at finally getting an S4 next week and then remembered about Novation Twitch
Anybody else in the same predicament?
Twitch is nearly half the price (uk)
I don’t think I’ll use jog wheels but I like to have them
I’ll only use 2 decks and the sample decks
Twitch is smaller
I’ve had my heart set on an S4
I not sure if I’ll feel let down by Twitch

Hard to really say as no one’s even gotten their hands on one. If you already own traktor it’s not a bad deal, but if you don’t you still need to buy that so don’t forget to factor that into the cost.
In a week’s time I’ll be playing with the twitch at sónar, but I can’t really advise you what’s best for you. I’m definitely planning on picking one up.
You will not feel let down by Twitch, fact!

If you’ve already got traktor, the S4 is less value for money. Just sayin.
but if u like to have jog wheels u will miss them if u dont have em, i did when i got my X1’s, ended up with the S4 after many different scenarios…couldnt be happier with it
get twitch so much more interesting than the s4

EVERYTHING depends on your own personal work flow. This is especially important in this case, because of the Twitch’s unusual abilities. so you have to decide entirely for yourself what suits your personal mixing needs.
if the Twitch had 4 independent channels then I’d pick one up…

Do you NEED to get a controller ASAP? Aren’t Twitch controllers being released next month?

On topic… I’m waiting for the Twitch. I’m doing so because, it looks like it will fit into my work flow, which is mainly based around my launchpad now, more so than the s4.
With some creative mappings the Twitch/Launchpad looks like a powerhouse duo.
One big question of mine being… Does switching between the performance modes switch the CC values of the pads via firmware, or will we have to map them as modifiers? S4racen?
I think the Twitch looks really cool but DAMN have you seen that traktor mapping? It is so so so poor.
It looks to me like they send out different notes for the pad pages.
Twitch doesn’t support turntables or cd for traktor scratch does it?
If so then it would be an amazing mixer combo considering the size and the options…
