Was a (un)lucky hit and run. :stuck_out_tongue:

great article!

Sorry Tekki, but I stole your thunder already: Get on the deck: DJ Carl Cox

dude you just linked to this same forum post :stuck_out_tongue:

But yeah i thought someone had mentioned this article before…

What really suprises me though is no one has mentioned that they cant wait to see what that pioneer product is - because i know i certainly cant wait !

They’re probably referring to the CDJ-400 and MEP-7000 which can plug directly into your ipod or external drive

Pioneer also has their own DJ software called DJS.

lol well that sucks - they made it sound all so epic :stuck_out_tongue:

is it just me or has Carl Cox put on some weight…

too many long flights sitting in first class :stuck_out_tongue: is jelous

Carl Cox has always been a big guy…my question on the video is why a fader fox? There is a grip of small little controllers that he can be using (NOT flaming on anyones fader fox)

It would be sweet if the Pioneer mixer would send/recv midi msg and he could controller traktor scratch all from the cdj’s & the mixer :::wishful thinking:::

yea but if he wanted something small and it looks like he is only using it for browsing and certain effects its not that bad.

Ill take a pic of me infront of my “studio” and you will see white mr. Cox (Well, in the size at least, and the monitors are the same lolz)

Well, what I have seen, the FaderFox controllers are a real solid deal.

  • They are small in size, so you don’t have to worry to much about not having a place to stack’em,
  • Faderfoxes are known to pack a whallop and keep on coming,
  • and they come with an aimed interface.
    (Traktor or Ableton versions available.)

I do agree on the sizing issue you’re raising with regards to Carl Cox.

And you forgot to mention the sucker goes for $500 USD

Yeah, but that’s the least of his problems.

He’d probably pay 249 UK Pounds for it anyways.

i like the fact that he uses digital technology in a classic way, ie focussing on the tunes and not on loops and effects too much. It all depends on music-style of course, but in the end the tunes are the most important thing, and it’s good to be reminded

Yups, that and that he still keeps on handling oldskool beatmatching!
