Has anyone tried to open up their Kontrol X1?

I saw someone do an LED mod on a mixer somewhere in this forum and I was curious as to if I could do something similar with my X1. So I unscrewed all the screws, and took off all the knobs, but I’m too scared to try and pry it open for fear of breaking it.

Has anyone else attempted to open their X1? More importantly has anyone succeeded?

Never seen anyone do it on here. I wouldn’t want to open my own, I know they’re pretty tightly packed inside.

Yeah they don’t exactly come apart easily, which is what is making me nervous.

Pretty sure it’s glued and you’d definitely void your warranty

And if you want to do an LED mod you’d better be a good solderer, I expect the LEDs are the mini board mounted type.

Well in that case, I think I’ll wait 'till I have more skills and disposable income. That’s a shame though a Kontrol X1 with blue and green or purple LEDs would be so sick.
