Having to double press buttons to activate?

I have a kaoss pad 3. I use it in midi mode with traktor, and I have it mapped out to various functions.

Only issue is, for a lot of the functions I have to double hit the buttons to get the desired effect. I believe this is a traktor issue, as I still get the midi data icon flashing for the first tap…

As I’m sure you can imagine this is slighty infuriating in a
live situation :L

Any ideas?

are any of the buttons selecting effects directly for the fx bank your controlling?

When you map the button to the desire function, did you set it to toggle or hold?
Sometime for some strange reason it will work if you set it to hold instead of toggle…
