Having trouble deciding between Xone K2s and Kontrol X1 mk2s
So within the next couple of week I’ll be upgrading from my S4 to a xone 92, audio 10 and either 2 K2s or 2 X1s. Problem is I’m having trouble deciding which setup to go for. My question is geared towards those with similar setups or those that have used both of these devices. Which do you find better overall for deck control/fx? The K2s are attractive to me for xlink but it seems like the X1s may be better for what I want. Just wanted some outside opinions so fire away
PS: I realize this has been covered in the past but wanted an updated perspective now that each have been around for a while and have had firmware updates, etc. I also have a push that I’ve integrated into my setup.
The only A&H mixers with x-link compatibility are the DB2, DB4, 23 and 23C. Therefore you couldn’t x-link the K2s to your mixer (but I believe you could x-link 2 K2s together with 1 USB).
If you want to be tied to Traktor and have plag and play functionality go for the X1s but if you want to start using other software of even production I would go for the K2s.
Well not im struggling between a xone 92 and a xone DB2/4 as well. I was pretty set on the 92 with the nicer filters, send/returns for my push, and 4-band EQ but the included soundcards with the DB2/4 and the FX engines are super attractive now. This is hard Why can’t they just have like a 92C
I have a pair of X1’s, great integration with Traktor straight out of the box so it’s hard to go past them. I’ve contemplated getting a K1/2 but i can’t see my workflow or mixing improving with the change.
