Help choosing new mixer

Hi
I have a DJM T1 currently and love it however it has no fx send/return which I would like as I play as much real vinyl as software.
I am after something like a Vestax PMC 05 III however this only has a 2 band eq.
I am not fussed if it contains a soundcard or has midi as I will just get a xone k1 and a certified scratch soundcard to go with it. (traktor or serato, I’m not fussed)

To sum up I require a 2 channel mixer (that doesn’t cost a fortune)
Fx send/return
Nice 3 band eq

Thoughts please?

Behringer NOX Series…

Denon X600. Highly underrated.

Xone 22

or 23c

Touche

Yep, awesome soundcard included & matrix inputs makes this one a winner.

Unless you scratch, I wouldn’t go with the PMC-05…it has a lot of noise that it introduces that can be heard over systems at higher volumes. And since you plan on playing a lot of vinyl, you probably won’t be as happy with it as you would with a better sounding mixer.

But no send/return…

… and is what the guy already has.

Hmmm,
So many options!

My main issue is that I really like my DJM T1, it’s just missing 1 thing that I want - send/return!

Thanks for the replies it has given me some options I hadn’t thought about, namely the xone 23/23C
I’ve heard sound quality is amazing compared to the competition plus I can x link to some K1/K2s

What do you want FX send/return for? Do you have an external FX unit?

Ecler Nuo 2.0
Xone 22 (or 23 just don’t like the design personally)

Both good options, both have very good SQ and FX send/return

Cough, cough…

You’ll see from my review that’s it’s very important what type of FX unit you want to use, as the Xone just doesn’t work properly with Pioneer ones.

Cheers Chris
I remember watching that but forgot in my head somehow, yes I was planning on getting an rmx effect unit so I can use the same hardware effects no matter what source I am using (vinyl or DVS).

I think I need a new strategy as nothing seems to fit the bill for my needs, I might just sod the expense and buy a rane 62 or a allen and heath DB2 with a k2.

How so? My EFX 1000 works fine with my Xone 22. I haven’t noticed anything wrong yet.

From the block diagrams it looks like they changed the way the fx send and return works in the 23, but does work fine on the 22.

I can vouch for the quality and send/return function of the Xone:22, that was my first mixer and I still use it frequently. Cost effective as well. Check out zzounds.com, if you spend $250 you can do payments over 4 months, but you get the item right away. Super easy and tons of excellent reviews.

edit: Note I do not work for aforementioned website, just a suggestion as that’s how I funded my entire beginning setup and still plan to use the site for larger purchases in the future.

Have you looked at the xone:62?

It’s a tank of a mixer.

Reading is a good thing

He requires a 2 channel mixer that isn’t expensive. A Xone 62 is literally the opposite of what he needs.
