Hi, this is probably the right place to post it heh..
I use a laptop and a pair of DJ-tech kontrol ones. They are pretty decent put they only have a usb port to control my software, I’m looking for a mixer that can conect to my laptop via usb and be able to mix the tracks, most do I think out put to phono RCA (I’m not good with terminology if that’s wrong the white and red plugs). I have a budget of around £100 to spend on the mixer.
So recap:
Usb capable mixer that I can input my digital channels through to it
2 channels
phono output
£100 ish
If anyone can help that would be really awesome. x
You’ll need a mixer with an audio interface to be able to use a laptop and software. Best value is the Allen & Heath Xone:23C, really. To use the audio interface, you’ll have to open up the mixer and change a couple of jumpers round. The manual has instructions and it’s fairly straightforward.
EDIT: You won’t find anything new for £100. If I were you I’d wait a bit longer and save up some more. A hard lesson learned after building computers is: “you get what you pay for” and “buy cheap, buy twice”.
The only mixer I’ve seen remotely near your budget is the Numark M101, but to be quite honest if I was buying on a budget I’d ignore that one and save more money. The Allen & Heath 23C that happydan mentioned is probably your best bet but you won’t find that for 100 notes in good condition. Out of interest, what DJ software are you using?
