My Approach is the same, with the only difference being the soundcard selection …

I believe that his problem lies in that his CDJ’s are both assigned to be Deck 1 Currently… the native instruments knowledge base ironically explains this better than anything I could find on the VDJ forum, setup should be the same though from the section on Preparing the CDJ-900 / CDJ-2000

Interesting. Here is the setup now:

IMAC running Traktor (Demo, recommended as better than VDJ).
CDJ2000
RANE
All connected via USB. No other cables present.

Mac Settings>Sound>Output: Set to “RANE MP2015”.
Trakktor> Settings> Audio Setup> Audio Device: Rane MP2015
When selecting Rane as the Mixer, I cannot select the Decks in Trakktor. Welcome - TechSmith Screencast

He couldnt get audio to play out the IMAC, I can get 1 deck to play with the speakers. Every now and then the VDJ’s begin flashing buttons and going crazy. The instruction manual has been horrendous I dont even know if that means there is a problem. Ill try to get a video of it soon.

Then we went back to VDJ - and fixed the “inverted controller” problem by pressing the eject key.

So right now - I think its working. Lets see how it goes!

Thanks for your help. This has been a insane journey with lots of hours of phone support. Ive now got him moved on to Traktor and so far loving it.
