I was thinking the other day, that there might be some expressions, that to people that are new on this forum or around the whole controllerism / digital djing, would be totally alien and without meaning (or LITTLE meaning). (stuff like bomes, midi, controllerism…) the list will prolly be long.
Once we feel that we are finished, we could make it a nice and nifty PDF or something
I wont start out just yet, cause I have no time, Just needed to get the idea out of the system before I forget (happens a lot that I have ideas that I forget haha)…
Anyways, what do ya’ll think? Bento, up for a short description of BoMeS!? I mean, we could also include names of controllers and stuff… like a proper little manual/dictionary!
FAQ is boring. A little manual is way better Downloadable as PDF of course. FAQ’s are annoying imo, better to have a searchable kind of dictionary… Not to hard to program either
I’ll bring it up to my moderator buddies. You know them… they’re all stuck in the past, wanting to do things the same way as everyone else, not wanting to take any risks or do anything unique. Ugh, it’s like they want it to still be 2006.
Great idea Nemo. Im still a Newb to the digital dj world though Ive learned a lot from this site as well as doing research all over the net over the last couple of months. I know I would have been very happy to come across a compiled list of terms and definitions/descriptions all assembled nicely in one place. Something like a wiki that can be changed and updated would be excellent.
We have actually talked about a wiki previously and everyone thought it was a good idea, i am pretty sure the plan is that we are going to have one hosted on the new djtt server we are moving too.
Theres is still some work to be done before we can make the move over though, but once we have made the move and settled in we can focus on creating a wiki
The wiki on Controllerism. Twus a year gone by.
I think we where still having problems on how to start the wiki. Also, someone needs to start the official wikipedia controllerism page. Ean asked for that a while ago.
