How are you guys posting your mixes? Soundcloud wont allow me…?
I’m trying to post a set I played live a few weeks ago but soundcloud keeps telling me I have copy written material in my post (which I do obviously) but I’ve posted mixes before and have never had a problem. For those of you who post mixes do you post through soundcloud or some other site?
I tried mixcloud but my file is too big. The mix is about an hour and some change.
Yeah, mess with the beginning of the mix with effects from audacity, add your own into. You can also convert your file to mp3 for mixcloud. An hour long mix mp3 shouldn’t be too big for mixcloud.
I throw all my mixes on mixcloud, much more DJ friendly format, but yeah Soundclound checks the intro so either leave it silent or be a bit more professional and fill it with airhorns and gunshots.
Im not following antitmradio … Your new thread has nothing todo with how soundcloud checks for copyright material? I didnt even know they were doing this …
When i click on a link, and see the time running in soundcloud with no sound? Chances are im gonna click a new link before the 10 sec has past … And your a dj, its not that hard to start your mix with 2 tracks together, or an effect, or a voice of something …
You could just upload to HearThis.at, I’ve been using for half a year and it’s great! (with free account you get unlimited storage, statistics, cover and track art, tracklist, sync with SC so you can upload your previous mixes,..) Check it out
Ok, so you have waveforms turned off. Must be a new feature nobody knows about. I tend not to be a brat about it though, I just use my eyes to see the 2mm gap at the beginning so I usually hold my breath for the first few seconds.
Its not about that, when i have to wait 10-15 sec, it tells me something of the artist/music, before even hearing a sound … So i might be clicking the next track allot quicker, as when u started from sec 1 …
Or people will skip into your mix, also something i like to avoid …
