How big is yours?
Mine is a 2.5"
It holds a mighty load of 56 gigs of pure bangers. I’m aiming at having 120-160 gigs of electronic music. I’ve downloaded all this in the past two or three months.

8 inches of pure, hard love baby
Ok… What about selecting on quality, buying music and such. I mean not everything I have is bought. But DLing 60 gigs in 2-3 months is a total different course. GL
are we talking terabytes here?
Definitely but with all the music out there and how late to the scene I am, I feel like I’m playing Musical Catch Up. So I’m downloading everything, listening to it on my ipod. Making a mental note of what’s hot and whats not and playing that. I definitely know what you are saying. But if I had a collection of what I only liked I’d also be missing out on the opportunity to play a certain venue. I love French House but if I didn’t have as many electro bangers as I did I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to get a College party bumpin. Besides, I have to learn to appreciate every kind of music to know when it’s appropriate to play that kind.
I am working off a desktop PC w/ a 150GB WD Velociraptor primary drive. All of my music is stored on a 4TB server. It ain’t portable, but its quick and big!
Sick. How do you stream to a gig though? Is it hard? Do you need a static IP? I was doing the same thing for a while but I felt like waiting 3-5 seconds for a song to be loaded via WLAN was waay to long.
Simple calculation tells me you spent about a grand a month on tunes then ![]()

The last time they made an 8 inch hard drive was about the 80s, so I assume you have about 20 tracks?
mine’s 3.5’’
then again, it did come from asia ;_;
had one that came from africa that was like 2 feet long but it ran off when it got a virus from my unprotected computer ![]()
downloaded=bought yeah max? ![]()
I have about 5000 or so tracks in the traktor library. Slowly going through the older stuff and replacing the LO-Q stuff with my extensive BP wishlist.
Not for gig play. Purely for home use. Although I have setup a Subsonic music server to listen to my tunes.
