How Clubbing Changed The World/House Party - Channel 4 Tonight

Should be interesting viewing, not convinced about Guetta and Will I Am being interviewed to be honest, especially with all the pioneers/underground movers of dance music over the last few decades who could/should have been interviewed.

Then afterwards, 6 hour house party with Grandmaster Flash, Annie Mac, Soul II Soul, Erick Morillo, A-Trak, Horse Meat Disco.

im sooo watching this… i been looking forward to it since the advert started airing… tbh all i really care about is the grand master flash and a-trak sets

Is it possible to watch Channel 4 online? This is the first time that a TV station wants to focus on EDM and I want to be a part of it :smiley:

I’m DJ’ing tonight so won’t be able to watch.
The fact that the entire 6 hour party is going to be completely free of adverts is impressive. That must have been a battle in itself.

I believe that it’s a one off and not to be repeated on 4OD.

Not that it matters for me as in Indonesia so cannot watch it. MAybe someone generous will have it on Ustream or the like?

Yeah, good to hear no adverts too. Apparently it’s interactive on the net, so don’t know if that means you can choose cameras i.e. watch what each of the DJ’s is doing. I’m sure it will be uploaded in the next couple of days for days.

Really disliked Grandmaster Flash’s set. Annie Mac is rocking it though!

GMF was horrendous, Annie Mac absolutely rocked it. Thought Eric Morillo’s set was only alright at the start but the longer it goes on the more I’m liking it

I was so excited to see Flash, then he just ruined it. Talking over his records, unnecessarily scratching every 3 seconds. And his video guy was absolutely atrocious as well.

I forgot that How Clubbing Changed the World was on so I was watching it on C4+1 and I was flicking onto C4 everytime it was break to see what House Party was like. GMF was so bad that I just switched back onto C4 when How Clubbing Changed the World finished to watch Annie Mac’s set. I was not going to waste an hour of my life watching GMF’s absolutely atrocious performance on C4+1

Anyone that watched Morillo’s set know what the thing that was positioned in front of the djm 2000 with all the knobs was. It was on like a slide out shelf under the cdjs and djm so it was only visible from one camera angle and couldn’t make out what it was. Really interested to know what it is and what it does

I thought it was an RMX1K When I first saw it, but I think I’m mistaken.

On a side note, A Trak is killing it - he’s got mad skills.

Didn’t get a proper look at it at first so just assumed it was the RMX1000 too till I got a proper sight of it. I’m about 15mins behind cause I paused it during Annie Mac’s set to try and find a track I couldn’t remember the name to so A-Trak is only about 10mins into his set. I saw him once live and he absolutely killed it. Never found the name of that track either :disappointed:
