How do you use maschine

I have my maschine mk2 now for a couple of weeks. I learned the features and made some tracks with it in stand alone mode. But when I’m making music in ableton I find it hard to integrate my maschine in my workflow. At the moment I end up most of the time using drum racks inside of ableton. The problem is..
I program patterns inside maschine. (Mostly drums) Then I program something inside ableton. And then I want to do my arrangement in abletons arrangement view. When I drag my audio parts to ableton I can’t change for example the volume of a single pad later on because its audio now. When I drag midi into Ableton I have all my drums on one midi channel. How do you use maschine for production? How is your workflow?
I also want to use it for live performances with traktor. Would be great if you could give me some ideas

Sounds like you bought a new toy before knowing exactly what you wanted to be able to do, or before you knew about Ableton Lives channel grouping…

I’ll never understand people that try to use Maschine AND Ableton. Maybe there is a benefit, but I can’t really see it. Maybe people like to “sketch” ideas with Maschine - but, I’m sure Live can do all that Maschine can and more.

If I was into producing using pads (I’m not), I’d get an Akai MPD controller and map it to live.

Try using drum racks. This might help: Help and support for Live & Push | Ableton

I tend to create a basic, solid groove in Maschine, export the groups as audio, then drag those into Live for arranging and to layer other sounds on top.
