Last night I was spinning at some club in small town. There were about 500 people.
I was doing so good, well at least people like it, that in breaks they were giving me applauses!
And I spent rest of the night with one of the promoter girls! 
did have someone throw a bag of weed into the booth once…
other than that…nada…
score! i once got a free eighth from this guy i met at a bar in my town and drunkenly gave him a lift home cause he had a broken leg and walked across town to go the bar and his friends ditched him. dropped him off and he returned with an 8th of danks.
would not recommend doing that often.

Getting attention from your DJing buddies’ groupies when you go watch them play can be a nice corollary of this issue. Of course, that requires some work but at least your hands are free then. At worst you can always get them to come to your gigs!
