How much $$$/££££

Right so hear is the deal, I have just got my s4 and over the moon with it can’t put in to words how much I love the thing and my interest has went through the roof again. So already being an owner of tp2 i have no need for the s4 software and also have an x1 and also numarks omni control… I got the x1 through the double deal for tp2 and an x1 so i would be guessing they are tied to each other.

So my question is what would be the best way to sell of the x1 plus omni control and the s4 software?

You can’t sell the S4 software by itself. You do realize that the S4 also comes with Traktor Pro 2 right? So that means you have two copies of Traktor Pro 2 and you could sell one of those.

You cannot sell S4 software on its own.
If you upgraded S4 software to TPRO2 you cannot sell S4 software as that was the qualifying product for the upgrade, the 2 are permanently linked. 2 different serial numbers but on one Account.

You can sell the T2 software that came with the X1.

This is what I was looking to know as well? Even though the Tpro2 with the x 1 was an upgrade as well… would i just have to deactivate the x1 and my tpro2 software in the service center?

Thats a good question. This is a grey area (probably not) cus hardware/software packages are supposedly not separatable but as the X1 requires no registering i cant see any reason why someone cannot sell the Serial Number for TPro2.

Any NI software is transferable as long as its not EDU. I see no issue.

I have asked support for clarity on this subject this week but im waiting on an answer.

so i probably cant sell the S4 controller with the s4 software and keep my Tpro2 serial (which was the upgrade from Ts4)..

asking cause the vci400 might get me of the S4..

No dude, you the TPRO2 serial is dependent on the S4 software being registered. Does not have to be installed but it must have been registered.

Any and all upgrades from one version of Traktor to another is dependent on the “qualifying product” being on the same account.

yes you can sell your S4 w/o selling the software.

No strictly you cannot as they are a hardware/software bundle.

But, if you find someone who has TPRO2 and has no need for the S4 software, well i guess theres nothing to stop you.
