How old are you? The great experiment to find out DJTT's age range :)

44 Years young (or old)

Been earning money professionally DJing since 1981 and don’t ever want to stop

40, Djing since 90,
had a club going for a couple of years and been working fulltime all the time, though in a related field as audioengineer for the major TV station around here.
Nowadays i play whenever there´s time and occasion.
Besides that i seem to add some colour to the board since i don´t play Electronic or related stuff instead i´m into everything caribbean some hip hop, soul and disco on the occasion.

Wow. i was sure the seesaw would be down at the youngun’ end looks like i was wrong :stuck_out_tongue:

well i guess its a fairly expensive hobby to get into… and i imagine most people get into it as a student at uni.. i dno, just making excuses now! :stuck_out_tongue:

27, been mixing about 10 years i guess… never too seriously. have never gone out looking for gigs but for a while i was spinning at a local club fortnightly for a few months but have played clubs at least twice a year for the last 6 or so years.

when you work a dayjob that you have to start at 4am (or earlier somedays) and on weekends too, it kind of impedes on “the life of a dj”

haha my mate holds 2 residencies in Cambridge - and he’s a second year medic at the university!

now that’s dedication!

Age 36 (wow that was hard to say)

Djing since 1989/1990

I feel more and more wrinkles fading thanks to this poll

haha… I was surprised at how many are in the 25-35 group, and that there’s more than a couple of us over that…

age 20
been djing since i was 17. I was mostly a scratch dj but just moved onto edm last year.

Age 34…over 30 and dirty!
Been DJ’n since about 1990.

Age 21

Been DJing for around a year, started out on the student pub’s cd players and a pioneer mixer but six months ago I bought my vci-100 from here and I have since then been able to practice at home. Trying to study for my exam in engineering physics also takes it’s fair share of time though so I can’t stand behind the decks or search for music as much as I would like.. :disappointed:

The genre I want to play the most is psy but since the only thing people accept over here is RnB and top 40 I am trying to broaden my horizons a bit.. Oh well.

Psy FTW!

Age 19

Been djing for around 2 years now  got in to the whole EDM scene back when i was about 15 when i heard Daft Punk - Discovery album

31 been mixing since 94

BS, just turned 19 in december ;p

Started playing around this time last year with a Fast Track Pro and Traktor 3 LE, bought gear and started learning more in August.

Twenty six and a half. Mixing at home for the past two years, and played out for most of '09.

I wish I was sixty, though. I want to be a silver-haired, mustached, leathery-skinned gentleman speaking in parables and drinking my previous generations under the table.

34
Started mixing in 1996
Heard the Orbital Brown album and there was just no turning back. Seeing Doc Martin, Carl Craig, Mark Farina, The Orb, Q-Bert, The Chemical Brothers live just clinched it.
I think any preconceptions I still had about electronic music were destroyed at a show with these three guys called Live Human  Give a shout if you know who I’m talking about!

Orbital have reformed shaaawing

Age 20.

Been DJing for just over a year but picked up the basics nice and quick. Was in a band before that from about '06 and been playing the drums since i was a foetus… nearly. Starting getting crazily into dance music when I started uni. I’m now in second year and play two nights for a club and one night for my college a week. Work is starting to suffer.
