How to get headphone and master output on an iPad for DJing?

This is something that I’ve been wondering is how would I hook an ipad up to my comp (do i have to use the wifi?) Second how would I hook my headphones up to get output in them as well as the master..? Would I need to use something like the Alesis IO iPad dock?

What do you want to use the ipad for? If you want the iPad to be your main DJ computer then yes the dock or the cabling above would be necessary. But if you just want the ipad as a controller and continue using Traktor or whatever on your computer for DJing, you just need to connect via wifi, probably using something like TouchOSC.
