how to get on internet stations

Anyone got tips on how to get onto internet radio stations to get my name out there and do some crazy long mixes that I’ve always wanted to do?

u got VDJ dont u? join the vdj radio over at virtualdj.com/radio
That means if you have a legit pro version of VDJ

i’m just gunna say i shouldnt do that lol. I figured out how to broadcast my self so stay tunred for the link once i have neough time to sit down and actually do an hour to 1:30 set

Either that or pop to the Purple Radio link in my .sig

Photojojo, Ciar and myself are regulars on there (I’m actually playing the last track of my show as we speak … Jamie XX / Far Nearer if you need to know …)

I did buy traktor scratch pro 2 though, so

Then use that one… Traktor 2 has a broadcast feature… look at the manual or the NI forums to check how

Not 100% comfortable with traktor 2 yet, still working on it

Its fucking horrible and only supports icecast, which virtually no ‘proper’ radio station I know uses.

I use the shoutcast plugin for winamp to broadcast - some of the mac boys and girls on the station use nicecast for a similar job

I pop in from time to time lol :slight_smile: but yes if you want to get on the radio then purple are a great bunch to go with!
