How to prevent Traktor from altering Ableton project?

How to prevent Traktor from altering Ableton project?

After I used Traktor to try out some things I got the message from Ableton

“Could not decoded using DirectShow (Error code -2147220890)”

The sound files in my project appear to be Offline ore damaged.
But the track are still in the same directory with the same name and I can play them in my media-player.

I have read some post about this Error, but it occurred after using Traktor
So has anyone else noticed the same problem and what is the solution?

your id tags prolly got bugged
try re converting them to 2.3

never happened to me after using traktor, but i get that with bad id3tags

Do you have any tips on how to do that, is it a option in Tracktor or Ableton?
Is it also possible to protect my sound files to be altered?

it’s called “write access restriction”. every operating system has that.

Maybe that isn’t a good plan after all if I want to store cue points.
Do I understand it correctly if I update my sound files to IDtags to 2.3 that I can run it in both programs?
And does anyone know a good program to set the IDtags to 2.3?

I have manage to clear out the IDtags so the work in Ableton and Traktor.
Is there a option to protect my sound files to be altered, without the write access restriction, so I can save cue-points in Traktor?

it is not that practical, but disc space is not that expensive, so have you considered 2 directories? one for the music to use with ableton and one for traktors music. sounds silly, but this works for me.

I just had invested in hardware.
Well it look like nothing else than manually adjust the files

I was getting this as well and I read on here to install Quicktime - and since doing that it’s stopped, so I’m guessing Quicktime installs a directshow codec that Ableton then uses.

Might be worth trying … btw I’m Win 7 64bit.
