How to set up use vci-100 with Traktor..?

  1. Hi bros, i just bought a vci-100 today, is the vci-100 comes with the ac adaptor inside the box?? cause i can’t fine the ac adaptor in the box..shit

The VCI-100 is powered by USB, next to the USB port on the back there is a switch to use the USB Power. An adaptor isn’t required.

Hi Mark, u mean the adaptor is not come with the box set right?

Mine came with an adapter but you do not need it, However Vestax does recommend using the adapter to help ensure stability.

That’s odd BentoSan, my VCI-100SE didn’t come with an adaptor in the box, but I’m not really sure why you would want to use an adaptor is you could use the USB port for power.

I dont have an SE i have a modded out standard VCI-100 with my own customised mappings.

Call Vestax to find your answer, or the company that sold you the product.

I wouldn’t assume any answer is the correct one because nobody here works for Vestax, nor can speak on their behalf.

mine’s first gen…no ac adaptor. as if i want another big honking transformer to add to the pile :slight_smile:

If your laptop puts out enough power you wont need the AC adapter, the AC adapter is really for the people whos laptops cannot supply enough power to keep the device running stable.

any decent laptop in the last few years should be able to spit out enough power
the main thing is what else you have connected to usb as well…

is it just 1 midi controller and nothing else or is it an external soundcard + more midi controllers..

i successfully ran 2 controllers + usb external sound card fine with no problems..

I bought mine in March of 2008, and it didn’t come with an adapter.

I went to RadioShack and picked one up.
