I am desperate for configuration help: Gemini

I am a new DJ, or trying to be, but I made the apparent mistake of purchasing a garbage Gemini product off amazon that either doesnt work and is faulty or I am a complete freaking idiot.

The product I was dumb enough to purchase is a G4V, 4 channel for my budget that got relatively solid reviews on Amazon and none of the reviews mention configuration as being a 4 day process which leads me to wonder wtf I am doing wrong.

Sound sometimes comes out to the headphones depending on what settings I apply but the sound has yet to ever make its way out to my perfectly working PC speakers. My hardware and VDJ settings are below

This is my hardware setup:

WTF am I doing wrong with this? When i move a knob on the controller it registers fine on VDJ but why is no sound coming out to my speakers?

Before you ask me to look and follow the guide, their guide is utter crap, they make the assumption that all DJ software is the exact same thing, it is essentially “open the dj software and choose midi in and midi out for G4V sound” which is laughably dumb because neither Traktor or VDJ is that straight forward and Serato doesnt support Gemini products at all IIRC.

I’ve been told my hardware setup is fine, I went to Guitar Center and copied their traktor settings page for page just to see how close mine matched and I still cant get audio to play out to my speakers.

Im literally willing to pay someone to help me with this right now.

Maybe see if these mappings from DJTT work for you:

Can we see a screenshot of your Output Routing in Traktor?

does this work?

Switch channels 1 and 2 to Master Output.
3 and 4 should be set as a Monitor (headphone cue)

thats how the screen shot shows them already. You mean 1 and 2 to monitor?

im going to literally take a video now to show whats going on

this is not the best video in the world but my point was to show that the controller registers movements ont he screen and vice versa, i can drag and drop music and the controller shows it but no sound.

Your screenshot clearly says the opposite man  just switch them over.

Ok so the mapping works alright. Quick tip: add your mapping by using BIG Import button located at the bottom left corner of Preferences window. I saw that you’ve been adding the mapping on and on from the Device Menu - this only multiplies one mapping after the other and that’s why controls wouldn’t react at all and you find yourself adding. Big import will just overwrite all existing (imported) mappings and install just one file.

i switched them, nothing comes out of the speakers, BUT, now sound is actually coming out of the headphones but not in a cue like format. if i click the headphones to on deck 1 or deck 2 nothing happens, so i guess im getting somewhere

OK, so update, I have sound out to the speakers now, this time around it seems the problem was the RCA to adaptor connection was loose enough to cause the problem.

Problem still not solved because I get the exact same output to both my main speakers and my headphones which should not be the case, I should get the “club” sound to the speakers and nothing to my headphones unless I cue up something to preview, right? So im not sure what the hell this is about but we’re moving in a good direction

Change from external mixing to Internal, see how that changes it, put the mixer up on screen too to check the faders are mapped correctly too.
