So DJTT I had my first gig last night, and it went awesome! It was an apartment blacklight party, and I kinda got it at the very last minute from a friend, but it turned out great! I was flipping out at the beginning, because I had one deck that wasn’t outputting any sound and I couldn’t figure out why. Then I realized it was because I had my channel switched to Phono instead of Line I derped there.
Started with my deep trance set as background music while everyone played beer pong and got good and sloshed, then I worked my way up to some electro, and then started into the Top-40 stuff. I wasn’t even doing anything fancy really, I was just slamming the Top-40, but that was mainly because I felt that song selection was more important at that point than making sure everything was perfectly beatmatched. I synced up what I could, and cut in everything else.
I was starting to run out of bangers by the end of the night, but then the cops came and busted it up, so that was both a bummer and a relief. Some hot lil lady came up and started drawing on my tee too while I was spinning

but seriously congrats man I’m just starting out and I’ve gotta say it’s soooo much fun watching people dancing to the tracks that you lay down and the thought lurking in the back of you mind is “please don’t screw up oh god please just work.”
