If money was no object, what would you buy?

Id buy the Wynn Resorts Corporation

Whatever the new version of Traktor Scratch Pro is that has sample decks and comes with a 4 channel sound card.
A 4 channel mixer (possibly an Ecler Evo 4 though I’d want to hear what the EQ sounds like before I decide or whatever the latest Pioneer thing is).
Stanton ST150s.
A traktor kontrol X1 (with the effects section remapped to control the sample decks).
HD25-1 II’s.
A top of the range Lenovo laptop.
A bunch of traktor vinyl in a series of ridiculous colours.
A transit van.
The best sound system I can fit inside said van.
A tiny bar in Brighton near the Easy Hours shop.
Some old school sound system. Something that would be used in the BBC in the late 80s. Solid wooden boxes with an unknown brand name that weigh an absolute ton and sound perfect. Beautiful.

Fuck yeah.

MacBook Pro 15"
Xone DB4
Fadefox DX3
Ableton Live
Next release of Traktor
2 Pioneer CDJ 900
A small island with the best sound system in the market

Why do people dream about PCs? wtf?

So you may want to have a look at those classics:
JBL 4530 (ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs)
JBL 4520 (http://www.sound-pit.jp/vintage/american_speaker/jbl-4520/jbl-4520-2.jpg) notice the huge plate horn (JBL 2395 alike) on the top…

Not to mention the JBL 4550 & ol’ Concert Serie… those were the days

I’m familiar with the operating system and I don’t have any issues running traktor on a PC so I’ll stick with it. I’m more likely to switch to some Linux distro than Max OS.

@ DJKeywee
Those things look sexy but I was thinking more like these… :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh I see :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll have to put the ones you recommended either in the mobile van rig or in that bar where where care a little more about punch and a little less about clarity

CDJ2000x4
Traktor
A&H Xone 4D
A shit load of headphones
a 5-bedroom house in Tokyo, California, and England
2 chefs
5 hookers
1 divorce attourney

I worked a lot with those JBL subs in the past. There’s quite a few place in here who still have & use the 4530. They sound really good. Obviously, they don’t use the “Plate horn” But those were good & popular in the late 70’s on the top of a 4550 (f*ckin huge box btw)… when Bryston 3B, Bryston 4B were the “Standard” … along with Technics SL1100

Whoa dude. You can handle beatmatching 4 decks at once? Or are you going back to back with someone?

Dude if you’re that rich you don’t need hookers. If you go to clubs and show girls with questionable values how rich you are they will come home with you but you won’t have to actually give them anything.

sl1100s? I’ve never actually seen those other than in pictures. They don’t have a pitch fader do they? How do you alter the pitch?

I’d buy a deadmau5

Well someone is going to get lucky, I’m going to grant one of these posts their wish and buy them their electronic music desires

Dude, how rich are you? Shine your shoes guv’na?

^ Haha I wish.

the 1100 have 2 cylindric pitch like the really first generation of the 1200 before it become the MKII. This is a real 1200 first gen

And here’s the 1100 in all his glory

Those 1100’s are beautiful, I already worked a bit with it, since then… I’m still trying to find a pair.

You prefer them to the 1200s?

Hard to tell, they are really 2 different beasts. A while back I’d modified my 1200’s to have a “round” pitch like the 1100, my Mixtrack mapping use an encoder for the pitch, my Mp3 e2 too (duh?)… there’s few things in your past you can’t (or want to) forget.

The 1100 doesn’t have the 1200’s torq, but the pitch adjustment is so special… see unique… A load of my friends hate them, they just can’t adjust the pitch with… one of those funny DJ thing I guess…

 true - especially if hasn’t had a manicure recently - but then you’d need his head and brain, which means THE haircut. Maybe we can MIDI map his fine motor skills

What is a deadmaufive?
