In the search of hot power funk.. (not Disco)

In the search of hot power funk.. (not Disco)

Can somebody help me discover hot power funk trax that matches this set?
Some of this trax have a strong distorted bassline, and that is what im looking for. Probably this trax are pimped derivatives of the James Brown style.
I want also to know if this sub-genre has a name.. (Hope is not named Gta San Andreas.. hehe)
Thanks in advance

UPDATE:
Thanks to a comment of Jasc, ive searched G-Funk in Wikipedia, clicked links of related genres like crazy.. and found that the funk genre i was searching for is called:
“Boogie” Boogie (genre) - Wikipedia
Boogie (or electro-funk, post-disco)[3] is an electronic/funk-influenced variation of post-disco.[4][5][6] Boogie tracks are usually mid-tempo.[5][4

ANYWAY feel free to post any track you believe is related, because this thread is about discovering and is important to me to expand my horizon an not keep walking in circles..

Shock - Let’s Get Crackin’

Gap Band - Burn rubber on me

Dazz Band - Let It Whip

Gap Band - You dropped a bomb on me

S.O.S. Band - Take Your Time (Do It Right)

Denroy Morgan " I’ll I Do Anything For You

Kano - I’m Ready

Rick James - Give It To Me Baby

Carl Carlton - She’s a Bad Mama Jama

Vaughan Mason - Jammin Big Guitar

Indeep - Last Night A DJ Saved My Life

Junior - Mama Used To Say

Johnny Kemp - Just Got Paid

Falco - Der Kommissar

George Clinton - If Anybody Gets Funked Up (It’s Gonna Be You)

Here’s a few, but you’ve got a good enough list going there to get all kinds of decent genius recommendations in iTunes. As far as what’s it’s called I would say straight up Funk.

Maybe a bit slow but a right tune:

Thanks Chris !
I love the vocoder thing in Zapp & Roger - More Bounce To The Ounce (exactly what i was looking for) and i think is mandatory to me to dive deep into the Ohio Players and the Parliament discography

Hi Karlos !
I love John Ozila - Funky Boogie.. Crazy track!!!
and the “selvatic” atmosphere of Fred Cherry - Busride To The Zoo

About the others.. I think these are a little bit slower than what i was searching for, but
it trigges in me the idea to make a set that combine hi & lo, because these are good good slow funk trax
thank you very much !

BOOTSY

No worries dude. Ill come back with a trunk o’ funk tomorrow. Its past 1am and time for my bed

Thanks Duerr !!
Bootsy now included in the slow part of the set (and i promise to do my homework on hear more of his trax)

Yes Karlos !
Me too, i have to be working 8am..

I just love my stick!

Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar …I’m not really a big follower of the genre so I don’t know if the song qualifies or if it’s a big hit that everyone already knows including you, but I like it

One more for ya!

I love you Karlos.

you’ve definitely hit the right bases; here’s a few others but you can’t go wrong with anything on this page. and, yeah, it’s just called FUNK. Anything else calling itself funk (e.g. house music with a horn sample) is just straight up frontin’

I call it Funk, but a have heard people call it Gangster Funk or G-Funk.

George Clinton, Zapp & Roger, I have a pretty huge collection and I believe i have posted in the past.

@manchild
