You need to get a ground loop isolator.
Ground loop isolater
Is there an echo in here?
Is there an echo in here?
Hello!!!
It’s not thaaaat hard to google it
I din’t know what it was either!
I had the same issue with my new Asus laptop, the power supply is three pin connection on the power supply. I bought a new power supply with a two pin (figure of 8) connector. No more ground interference!
do you see tat metal round (ground) at on one of the ends?
brake it
Used to happen with my old acer.I put on a new plug without the earth wired in.problem sorted
if you want to be sketchy, you can buy a 3 to 2 plug adapter and it will solve your problem, but if you don’t ground the tab correctly you could potentially cause arcs…
removing the ground can cause shocks if you are touching a metal grounded mixer and
a metal usb controller.
buying a double isolated power supply should be the fist port of call.
it will have this symbol on it

and a figure of 8 power lead

and its good practice to have a ground loop transformer isolator anyway, i use this one and its very useful as a lead adapter for when you arrive at venues with different input types.

quick question on this topic.
Where would this plug in with a Audio 2 dj and extrenal mixer??
thanks
I had no idea what a ground loop isolator was, so I googled it and found this:

Ground Loop Isolator
Ever wondered why sometimes your stereo speakers start to hum when you plug certain components in?
The most likely cause of humming in audio equipment is due to a ground loop in your home or apartment mains power wiring. A ground loop occurs through differences in resistance in the electrical system. When you connect your computer to your stereo, a path is provided for electricity to flow from one wall socket to another as the electrical system tries to balance itself. This causes your speakers to hum.
How does a ground loop isolator work?
Xitel’s ground loop isolator has been fully designed, built and tested to exacting standards for high fidelity audio applications. It works by breaking the earth between your computer or audio components and stereo so there’s no path for current from an electrical imbalance to flow. This prevents your speakers from humming! It’s a simple and effective way of eliminating ground loop issues without having to resort to an electrician.
How do I install the ground loop isolator?
Turn the power of your computer or audio component and home stereo system off. Plug the cable end of the ground loop isolator marked stereo directly into your stereo RCA input. Plug the RCA cable running from your computer or audio component into the RCA connectors on the ground loop isolator marked input. That’s all there is to it! No more ground loop hum!

So it looks like it goes between your speakers and your mixer. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. Of course, depending on the type of cables you use you might need one that has XLR sockets or whatever.
Probably silly but i’ll ask anyway… what about mixing externally with four channels - that would mean having an isolator on each channel between the A8DJ and the mixer, which is a bit of a hassle to setup.
I’ve never had to use one but I’d rather be safe than sorry at my incoming gig…
Edit : how about just tying the A8DJ’s grounding post to the mixer’s, along with the mk2s?
I definitely would not recommend cutting off the ground…I also had this same problem heard some say the rca ground loop isolator method may cause a decrease in sound quality. So I bought the ebtech HumX to use with my laptop charger and it works great.
No, just on the master out from the mixer. It has to break the ground loop, so you could put one on all 4 channels but that’s unnecessary. Just on the master out should be fine, if I’ve understood correctly.
