is it worth buying ableton push?

is it worth buying ableton push?

i seen cool vids on youtube, i just need anyones experience or opinion, thanks!

Hey djjsnu, do you have a lot of experience with Ableton or do you have a background in music theory. If no to either then Push can definitely make it easier to start using Ableton and using the scale mode can make it easy to play/record instruments in key.

Assuming you’re talking from a production standpoint and Ableton’s your DAW of choice, I’d recommend it a great deal. Especially if as rdej47 says, you aren’t as familiar with music theory. Even if you are, not having to look at the computer and mouse click away is quite nice as is the recording of the automation possibilities with the twist of a knob.

hi thanks for the response, no i am new to ableton and i have no music theory experience. i just plan on learning by reading and watching videos. that is great to know push can do that, thank u!

:thumbsup: I’m definitely going to get Push this winter. Been wanting it for quite a while now.

Yea, I missed the chance to get an Ableton push from PSSL for $450 this past winter… No clue why it was discounted, but it hasn’t dropped back down since.

Push is epic, especially if you primarily use Live’s devices.

words can’t even go there, it’s a no-brainer.
