I personally and liking the ableton push and also what they just posted on the homepage
Arturia SparkLE Drum Machine
What It’s Got: Nice pads, slim and portable form factor, wide assortment of controls.
What It’s Not: Completely standalone – shines most when paired with the Spark plugin
Price: $299 / €249
Software: Full Spark software included
thanks, Im confused a lot, because maschine and push are great at their level, I excluded base, right now its just about Mk2 or Push.
Allday -curious- I pmed you.
I have Maschines (including a mk2) and love them.
Didn’t mean for it to come off as myself owning one. Im just debating between them. Cause I personally enjoy having a keyboard in front of me. I wish I had a push
i´ve already have my keyboard,
lets try to conclude my opinion.
Mk2 or Push?
I need a portable controller, with great live performance skills, great sampling modes and the best workflow.
suggestions? ![]()
We don’t know much about the Push workflow yet. It could very well be the hottest thing since sliced bread as Ableton was plagued with too much mouse/keyboard involvement for my creative needs. If the Push has what I think it’s going to it’s going to give Maschine a real run, unlike the MPC Studio/Renaissance which is already a flop if you ask me.
agree, Im diggin the push, by the way, can push be used with another DAW or just Ableton? thats a crucial point too ![]()
Push.
Push all the way
(oh and i do have maschine mikro and i use it quite often, but the push looks super awesome!)
btw, push got any updates at namm this year?
Ableton Push and Maschine MK II come and are used with specific software. The Base is just a MIDI controller. You have to keep that in mind. That said, i’d go with either Maschine or Push. Maybe if I hadn’t used Maschine before and not been familiar with it i’d say Push hands down. However the Maschine is a powerful beast of it’s own (I used to own the Mk. 1, now I own a Mk. II). I’m thinking about getting Push as well to use strictly with Ableton even though I do a lot of my work inside Maschine.
If I didn’t own any though and was just starting out - Push hands down. I feel like it’s literally a Maschine for Ableton from what i’ve seen so far.
if the maschine standalone isnt so limited compared to ableton I’d use it more (eg. no side chain??)
at the moment i always use maschine inside ableton anyway, so im thinking “heck would i still need maschine if i have the push?”
was gonna get the full sized maschine mk2 before but now after i saw the push, keeping my mk1 mikro and definitely getting the push
thanks a lot ![]()
I think ill go with push too.

After buying it Ill make some nice review for all of you ![]()
anyway, can anyone tells me what is that backpack thats in push photography?
I want it so badly .
also should I get a sound card like komplete audio 6 or similar?
I did not see anything while there, but namm is kind of big, so i could have missed it
I also have Maschine in Ableton due to limits in arrangement and send/returns. But I really like it that way to be honest. I’m using Maschine solely as an ‘instrument’ on a seperate number of channels in ableton. It works really well i think because you can do everything from the controller. So you can mind your business in ableton for everything like arrangements, leads and everything and keep the bassline and beats in Maschine (my workflow, could be different for other people).
Long story short; the visual feedback on maschine makes it a great part of ableton.
I can imagine the push can bea supplement this way.
ok, I ve finally decided,
my future desk will have
macbook pro 15 *
Ableton push
akai EIE pro
m audio key studio 49*
HDJ 500 headphones
what do you think?
*already have
Push all the way!
I’ve sold my maschine mk1 to buy the push.
Since i use ableton live i can’t find any real use of maschine beside the beatmaking. Push can do more and more… and WITHIN live! it’s just awesome.
Speaking of setup…
i have a MBP retina, impulse 101 25 keys, HDJ500, empire media s5500 studio monitors. And of course… the push as soon as ableton will release it! ![]()
Is the only thing i’m really missing.
Go with Aiaiai TMA-1 Studio’s.
really nice headphones but a litle bit expensive :S maybe one day ![]()
But now I have a problem.
I will go on tour starting this february on a project and in Portugal and Push is only available in stock on the 30th of March,
I dont know what to do, I really need it, maybe I´ll change for machine mk2 because I have no time to wait for Push, what do you think?
ohhh mannnn :S
