im from new jersey.. i grew up there and lived there till i was 21 years old..and in fact grew up not more than a 45 min drive to Sea Side Heights, and im nothing like that douche bag.. and yeah im part Italian to boot… id loooove to battle that guy just once and see him crumble under his lame ass brick in the wall haircut
I didn’t know DJ’s made that much money period. We can thank the millions of impressionable teenage girls for that shit show year after year, and making a bunch of leathery idiots superstars
I am buying a gun if he turns into a zombie and then brainwashes all his fans into zombies by making them listen to his music then we will die a bad music filled Pauly d death…
How accurate are those figures for top 10 paid DJ’s?
How much would say real top DJ’s like Jamie Jones, Maya Jane Coles etc. make per gig and per year out of interest?
personal question but what kinda money do you guys demand?expect? ive moved from Bath to Daventry ( shithole) and even finding a gig aside personal ones is hard that id take anything!!! well ya know…
ERRRR you think he gives a shit about some poxy little mix battle when he’s got $11m in his back pocket! You might not like him (in fact this is the first time I’ve heard of him) but you can stick your perfect mix technique up your arse… i’ll take 11 million over that any day of the week! No offence intended.
Fair play to him. As much as I might not agree with it, its business at the end of the day. We now live in an age that skills will not get you big gigs (i say this very loosely), marketing will and its hard to grasp to that, but its the sad truth and now if we want to get ahead we need to concentrate alot of time marketing. Like any industry, it changes, and this one has especially changed in the last 5 years or so, so drastically that most older DJ’s can not cope with this transition and get very annoyed about headlines like these. It really does not bother me that much all these kind of headlines. I had enough of a bad time getting my head around the death of vinyl when the records stores started shutting and I had to finally move on. Once I got over that I realised that I had to move with technology and trends to get ahead and not just live for the moment. I am surprised to see skrillex ahead of David Guetta though.
