Whatever you do, DON’T BUY SPEAKERS THAT AREN’T PA SPEAKERS IF YOU’RE DOING LIVE GIGS. it’s dumb. And really unprofessional. Keep working on the bedroom mixes, and then upgrade you sound system. Berhinger makes some really decent powered speaks that can crank under the EuroLive series. I hate berhinger as much as the next guy, but these speaks (if they last) will definitely impress your buddies and will output enough to rock your basement
Sorry for the double post, but I’d also recommend to not be so frivolous with your spending. Do you NEED two more midifighters?
Negative ghost rider, the pattern is full…
You and your dad save his money, spend the next 3 years of your life learning what music is really about, then use all that money you saved to buy the true “Ultimate Mobile Setup”:
That is one of the greatest and best things I have ever seen…
man this thread is becoming horrid…
I never even noticed all that research about the speakers uhh thanks very much but me and my numark NPM5s are pretty good
and I never had midifighters before… eh whoever asked that question
I want one instant gratification and one for cue points
and yes I have headphones… my skullcandy GIs perform extremely well
I am changing my mind about the backpack however,
but i dont want speakers
I want something extremely portable something for small street shows and what not
sorry mate but that just seems unreasonable to me… dunno why
Isn’t that what they use in Afghanistan to scare the Taliban?
Sound warfare FTMFW!
off topic but this. gotten numerous noise complaints with this. runs on batteries too. you want to be portable take this. it will run at full volume for over 8 hours depending on the bass in the music.
Good sound quality?
This will sound harsh but: lol
OP, you’re being a dick. Sorry to have to be the one to tell you this. If you don’t agree with the advice you’re being given, fine. But don’t get shitty with us about it. If you want multiple people to hear your music, face it, you need speakers of some kind.
Your wanting cool, and thats about as cool as it gets, imo.
Chill out, take peoples advice as just that, advice! If you don’t like it don’t get pissy. They are trying to help you out from there many years of combined experience, but if you act childish i see fewer people willing to take the time to help you. Maturity goes a long way here, and in life in general.
ok ok i am not getting pissy-- i have speakers
yes I am taking the advice i am not trying to fight im just saying what I have
and what i dont need
now i have agreed the backpack is very bad and that is the reason me and my dad have dug up some Numark NPM5s and we will eventually get what
b3nz0n8 recomended
@Padi
I don’t know what’s funnier, the simpsons script writers, or Mr Burns sexy Argentinian(?) voice!
I don’t even understand what the question is anymore. You said you wanted to “blast audio” but then go on to say you already have large speakers for that…
Honestly I’m not too sure about the speaker b3nz0n8 recommends. It seems to be mostly designed to be incredibly durable and for building site use which isn’t ideal. I dare say you could get something that’s designed for street performers that would be more suitable. I have seen a lot of them rocking what looks like a speaker + battery on wheels, suitcase style.
It’ll be less durable but hey, easier to transport and you’re unlike to be throwing bit of rubble around.
Make sure you get a licence if you’re busking seriously. Also if you’re performing in the UK or some other countries you may need a licence to perform with copy writed music (this normally is covered by the venue but since you don’t have one you’ll need it yourself) [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_DJ_license[/ame] I think that’s the right one, I forget.
thanx for the tip… ill look into that i bit more.
and the question was focused more on the controllers. not on the back pack for whoever said they didnt know the question
Hahahahha, it’s the latin american translation ![]()
The variables that prompted my response: Your post indicated the trouble with good sound. Therefore…
- The need for a durable, inexpensive all-in-one sound solution that can be re-purposed to the back yard pool parties or the lake
- 13 years old
- Small town
- Cost of Pro Sound Gear possibly prohibitive due to funds, location, age and/or proximity to a retailer
(although your dad may have amps and sound gear available)
Also:
- do a quick performance in the street or do some small stuff at a party.
- hard to do that without really anything to blast audio
- Backpack (With Amp & Speakers
- The best part about this setup is that it is cheap, performs well,
hard to do that without really anything to blast audio
I did not see that you already had sound in place in your first post, and the reason I thought my response might be helpful.
Don’t worry, you’ll find your sweet spot with your gear, style and performance evolution.
You are also on the right path by asking questions and putting yourself out there.
Definitely keep up the research and asking questions. It will save you time, money and headaches as along the way.
It’s also very social business, as well as a very tough nut to crack…so dig in deep and keep up the good work.
Best of luck to you
