iTunes?
Hi guys,
Four weeks in and I’ve decided to unbox this Macbook.
Never really got on with itunes and the PC, but is it my friend in conjunction with Traktor? Should I put the library through there first?

I love iTunes and Traktor. Smart playlists in iTunes are awesome.
Traktor Pro 2 (coming out April 1st) apparently has ‘full iTunes integration’, the current version is a little shaky in terms of not all tags being read properly. Good for creating smart playlists.
Used to have a mac so was forced into using itunes.
Now, however, I cant use anything else. Itunes just makes perfect sense.

The PC or the iTunes? iTunes works flawlessly on PC. S4 works flawlessly on my PC using iTunes as my library.
In what way do you use smart playlists? I’ve never used them.

This is an example of one of my Foobar2000 Autoplaylists (identical, but more powerful to itunes’ smart playlist)
It’s simple, but it gives me an automatically updated playlist of tracks that are missing tags…
You can extend that to anything you want. I use the grouping tag to enter details about the track (vocal, good breakdown, energetic, etc), then I can setup a folder structure for each genre and have sub playlists for the different styles.
It’s all in the thrill of the purchase for me
