Juli Amore's Current Setup

Juli Amore’s Current Setup

This is the controller part of my setup minus the Akai MAX49 that’s off to the side.

Nice! What software do you use? (I would guess Ableton, Maschine and Traktor, but you never know :stuck_out_tongue:! )

I’ve never used Traktor since I’m more production but I’d like to change that in the future. The Z1 is mapped in Ableton. So yes Ableton + Maschine and I do most mastering in Logic Pro X.

That is a nice little setup. How do you like the Max49? I’m pretty toked on mine, although now that I have Push, I’m not using it as much.

It went to the side recently as well. I pull it out for piano and some string pieces and that’s honestly about it. Otherwise I really liked it for the most part. It’s probably something that I’ll keep around.

Sometimes less is more ! Very Nice =)

Nice setup and nice gear as well. Hope you dont mind me fixing your pic my neck was starting to hurt lol.

How do you like the Adam’s? I’ve heard nothing but great things.

I played with the A7Xs at Guitar Centre, and absolutely loved them. There is a big difference when you spend more for monitors. The less expensive ones put more emphasis on bass because it makes a warmer sound, but try re creating a grand piano accurately with anything in the Rokit, or VXT series; good luck.

I tell people that when you listen to $1,500 monitors over say $400 ones, the first thing to do is remove most of the mids and highs for comparisons and you then know what a pair of $400 sound like. It also makes production and mastering much easier and faster when you don’t constantly have to adjust the EQ to hear the previous missing tones. Much of the time the lowest end of a more boutique brand is better than the highest end of a very well known brand.

You can go somewhat less expensive on headphones as the physics are different because of the proximity they are to your hear.
