Kaoss Pad setup
sup dudes, I figured I’d share my setup:
I’m actually in the process of writing an article about external audio processing for DJTT, so watch out for that. Plus you get to see me do a short ~8 min. set with this bad boy.

no, although I did think about it.
my problem with MIDI is it’s latency, and the kaoss pads offer me tons of effects with practically zero latency.
also there’s the issue of stability. when i used to use midi, i used tons of effects, and sometimes it would either lag or some assigned parameters would be sketchy.
i now have the comfort of knowing that all of the effects are outside of the computer and all of the music is inside.
Yeah I think I prefer using them as effects units, total waste to use them just for midi when they can do some really awesome stuff. 
How do you launch clips and such?
That’s a cool setup, I liked the demo vid of it and it looks like fun to use. Lol @ some of the youtube comments you were getting on it.
It would be cool if you add in another device so you aren’t launching clips with the track pad though.

Yeah I know, some of the youtube comments are vicious. But I’m honestly not concerned about it, I’ve never been the type of DJ to use effects constantly, I’m more interested in just showcasing great music.
My setup is always a work on progress, so I’m sure something like that can be arranged in the future, I don’t really like looking at my screen that much anyway.
