Kontrol S4 mk1 with the latest Traktor update question!

Hello all,

I’ve been away from DJing for about 2 years. I’m going to dust off my Kontrol mk1 and launch Traktor again. My question is this:

Will my mk1 run ok with the latest version of Traktor on Mac OS El Capitan?

I ask as a friend of mine — who has the Kontrol mk2 — told me that NI have dropped support for the latest version of Mac OS X (Sierra, which I’m not going to upgrade to) BUT he was unclear as to whether Traktor — in its latest version also does so.

Before I run any (Traktor) updates, can anyone clarify the situation please?

Yep, should be fine with the S4 Mk1, El Capitan and the latest Traktor version. I was using this setup until very recently and was working absolutely fine.

Traktor officially dropped support for the S4 MK1, but I have tested it and it does run. They just won’t support it if something doesn’t work, apparently.

That’s great, thanks for your help guys! I guess it’s just gonna be a simple case of backup each time I update — no real issue.
