I recently bought a Kontrol Z1 and am using it with my Macbook and Traktor. I need a separate audio output so I can plug in headphones into the Kontrol and listen to what song is coming up next. I tried desktop computer speakers but those didn’t fit. Any idea what I need to buy?
Doesn’t the Z1 have a built in soundcard with 2 outputs, one for the master and one for the headphones?? Are you using the Z1 as your soundcard in Traktor? Where does the music currently come out of?
What are the input connectors for your speakers? (assuming it’s a small stereo jack)
The Z1 output connectors are two RCA females so in case your speakers indeed have a small stereo you could go with one RCA to RCA and place one of this adaptors:
