KP3 firmware V2
Having purchased my kp3 only a little over a year ago i figured it’d have the latest firmware, wrong: even the kp3 editor software disc it came with was way out of date. well even if yours is like mine, no worries, Korg has a download with both the Firmware update as well as the KP3 editor v2 software found here:

basically your just going to
- download / unzip
- start the updater program
- plug in the unit & connect it to your computer (using a usb cable)
- before you turn on the kp3 hold all three buttons: [ C ] [ D ] [ SAMPLING ]
- this puts it in firmware upgrade mode and tells you (in the upgrade software) what firmware you currently have (mine was 1.04 now its 2.0!)
- then run the update
- uninstal the kp3 editor v1
- repace it with v2
- enjoy the new looping functions of your effects pad!
