Lamp for DJM 900 or other recommendations for a light for my DJ desk?

Lamp for DJM 900 or other recommendations for a light for my DJ desk?

Hi

I was wondering are there any specific lamps for the DJM 900? If not, any recommendations on a lamp for my DJ desk?

Cheers

post a picture of your desk / setup

Maybe that is what you want:

For the DJM-900 you may need a XLR adapter like this one:

because the lamp is male and the mixer is also male, so you need a female to female adapter, and may need to change the master cables for TRS if you use XLR.

I have no idea if this lamp can harm your mixer, you better google it more bro.

Hey

See below:

My kit is:

DJM 900 Nexus
Traktor Scratch Pro v2
Macbook Pro i7 17"
2 x 1210’s MK2’s
2 x Traktor timecode vinyl (mk2)
2 x X1
2 x Active monitors

I have been DJ’ing since I bought my mk2’s in 1993.

That’s not compatible with the DJM range; no such gooseneck light is. Those lamps require a very specific XLR socket providing a suitable power supply, and won’t function with an XLR designed for a microphone.

Well, I just googled it and the website relates it to mixers, so I tought it would work with DJM-900s.

If I was the OP I would just use a ordinary lamp.

Do you have a USB port available on any of your gear? If so these come in handy Amazon.com

You can get those in the UK for £1.

That’s right ONE POUND!!!

Sick setup bro!!! I don’t drool often on a setup but I just did on yours! And welcome to the forum!

About the lamp, what Geekgod posted seems the best option to me. I’m about to order one too.

Agreed. Badass setup.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005QGBV7E/ref=ox_sc_act_5?ie=UTF8&m=AJ0QRPX8ADNI1 I was going to get one of these. Is you setup an installation or is it portable?

Thanks guys!

The XLR lamp looked perfect - shame it doesn’t work.

The USB lamp looks good, but is flaccid (can I say that describing a lamp lol). Need something erect like a “gooseneck” ideally. My hands will be too busy twiddling knobs and faders haha.

PS: Damn that thread sounds go wrong, but you know what I mean.

Any suggestions guys?
