i am looking forward to buying a novation launchpad,
altought before i need to know a couple of things:
does all of the functions apply in all softwares? ex: the user modes, can i still use them to select the modes of all of the 64 buttons?
can i use the mixer function out of ableton? to control a knob in a vst per example
im not going to use the launchpad in music software, i want to use it with a lighting control software named martin lightjockey to trigger cues, if any of you have any experiences with that and midi, let me know
outside of ableton/automap the launchpad just sends a fixed midi note/css per button and will set the led based on midi feedback to the same note/cc
it’s automap+ableton (not sure how much of each) that gives u the multiple pages and virtual mixer etc etc
you can use my midimasher to do the same thing. the default launchpad config gives u 4 virtual pages with led feedback and a virtual mixer on one of them, but u can configure what u want if you’re willing to learn/code some LUA.
