let’s try to find my DJ name :slight_smile:

Hey guys,
first of all… don’t take this thread too serious.
i am wondering for months now which should be my dj name as people just call me “DJ Niko” at the moment which drives me crazy because Niko ist just my forename :slight_smile: I was wondering about “DJ Byzantine”, since I’m half greek and the forefathers of my father are going back to the byzantine empire. But a lot of people can’t spell that name right here in austria :slight_smile: But let’s give you some facts about me and then I would ask you to make maybe suggestions. It would be quite fun to find a DJ-name on a democratic way :slight_smile:

  • i live in austria
  • i’m half greek
  • i study dentistry
  • i’m a great soccer fan (fan of AEK Athens)
  • my genres are electrock, electronic and house (minimal and funky/jazzy)

I could consider DJ Pancraton or DJ Pancrase. Or deviations on these two.

I like Dj Niko! Why not using this one?
Well, I have some names that I use, and it depends on what Im playing. When Im producing baile funk tunes, Im DJ QUEBRA PERNA (means BREAK LEG, literally), but normally I just found out that its ok to use my own name.
Im called Hugo, but my friends call me Huguinho, and sometimes Guinho or Gueen. Then I use Gueen as dj name (pronounced with the “G” of “geek”, for example… like “geen”).

i am big fan of funny DJ names.

Like this guy i met the other day, his name was Nick Slaughter - thats a character from super corny TV show from early ninetees, Tropical Heat (TV Series 1991–1993) - IMDb … back then it was really popular … now its really old, and kinda funny when u look at it… this name, brings up lots of funny sentiments.

Or the other guy i saw, he was just JR (likej JR from Dallas), just hillarious.

the point is exactly, to not take it too seriously with it, just have fun (its kinda my way to see DJing as well), so there u go.

oh and btw: i am Evil Genius, because i am nut fun into all james bond movies, and just love the bad guys! MWHUA HUAHUA HA HA ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The first thing i thought of was DJ Root Canal. LOL. With a tagline “His music is as painful as a root canal”. I don’t know why, but I like funny names, its tough finding something that defines you, a lot of the times, simple works best.

I still don’t have a name i used to call myself TK, but i found out theres an ugly chick dj with that name. I used Phil T. Richington for a while too (don’t use it guys IT’s MINE)

Why not just combine the two things that are your fav?

Ex.: I used to do a LOT of popping, so P
My first name is Phil, so Ph
My fav music style is still funk, so unk

oh dude, i completely forgot how blofeld sounds cool (except that it is similar to blow…). Even better is Goldfinger, but i am sure, good couple of dudes already using this pseudonym.

Belive it or not, I googled Dj Blofeld, and I get NO dj hits, maybe I am stupid, but it does not seem to exist YET! Hurry up djs, its up for grabs! :slight_smile:

dude you are realy tempting me… right now, i am toss up between “blofeld” and “evil geniuss”, and there is still chance that something nasty and unexpected can happen to those few DJ goldfinger dudes XD muhaha
